For a moment this morning my usual cynical mood was
raised by a headline which stated that the Glasgow Airport Rail Link could be reinstated.
Imagine my joy of seeing a possible 1300 rail jobs coming back on to the market, only to have them dashed secounds later when I realised that the only group which could
reinstate the project, Transport for Scotland, has just said that they were not going to.
So that’s 1300 rail related jobs down the drain and Glasgow left without a rail link from the airport.
However, Network Rail have said that their new centre in Milton Keynes will bring new jobs to the area, with some being rail related, so we can at least go into the weekend
on a slightly happier note.
