It doesn’t appear that the Borders Railway project is getting off to the best start.
Whilst having a bidder dropping out at this early stage is not a disaster, those in charge of organising the project would do well to steer it away from becoming another debunkle like the trams in Edinburgh.
People’s jobs in rail rely on these projects, so it is important those in charge get things right… the first time.
