The rail industry relies on people choosing to use the railways.
There are actually very few people who depend on them for transport – usually these is always another option, such as a car or a bus service.
This means that the passengers who do use the railways deserve a little more respect than they are being shown at the moment – they are not political pawns for people like Mr Crow to use for their own devices.
All that yesterday’s strikes did was to turn a few more people away from ever using rail services in the capital again.
