Topic: CAF preferred bidder for Midland Metro (Feb 3, rtmjobs.com)
So another UK public body has chosen to operate the heaviest vehicles in the European tram market on its streets. How does this reduce either carbon footprint or disruption and cost associated with repair and maintenance? Once the Midland Metro extension opens these trams will be operating on some of the most pedestrian busy sections of streetscape in the UK. I hope that this vibrant scene and the individuals who choose to make it so will not be inconvenienced.
