Over the weekend I realised that I had forgotten to report back on my various rail trips last week.
Last Wednesday I took a Northern Rail service from Manchester to Broadbottom and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was not only lots of space, but that the rolling stock was new and comfortable.
On Thursday I travelled with both CrossCountry and London Midland, both offering prompt, clean and comfortable services.
I would like to know however why there is no entertainment available on train radio systems. I seem to remember that Virgin Trains used to offer a wide variety of music, as long as you had headphones to plug in, but now there’s nothing.
They probably think we all have iPhones now, I suppose.
