I think that many people who are looking for a rail job in Country Durham will have their fingers and toes crossed that the government decide to go ahead with the new InterCity Express programme.
This would bring many rail jobs and investment to the area, where a state-of the –art facility will be built to help in the manufacturing process of Hitachi’s new rolling stock.
Of course spending in tight, but then again introducing the project to the area would create jobs and lift up the local economy, so lets hope the government make the right decision!
