Although it is becoming increasingly more fashionable to knock the coalition government I for one hope that all of their efforts work out for the best.
After all, it is in everybody’s interests that their plans come to fruition and that as many rail jobs are protected as possible.
There will be rail job losses, but that is why the private sector must pick up the slack, providing meaningful employment whilst boosting its own capacity.
As for those who have begun to scoff and sneer at the fledgling government as it tries its best to deal with the horrific mess left behind by the disastrous Labour government, I can only say if you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.
