In the age of austerity it is reassuring to see that Network Rail is still looking to improve the network and invest in our railways.
Whether or not this practice continues over the next few years is another thing – we just need to hope that Sir Roy McNulty manages to come up with a viable solution which can work for the industry.
After hearing a recent speech of his, I was buoyed into good spirits by his positive attitude towards reforming the industry.
This plan must however work, for all of us.
