Despite managing to score a staggering 99 per cent customer approval rating in the latest Passenger Focus survey, the Wrexham and Shropshire railway company is still struggling.
It is a company which receives no government subsidy and still manages to offer a fully flexible first class ticket between Shrewsbury and London for only £120.
Unlike like most other train operating companies, it is actively apologising to its customers for having to make a small amount of increases in its fares after managing to maintain a steady ticket price for a number of years.
My question is this. Why aren’t more train operators working like this?
