To be honest, I am beginning to lose interest in the arguments raging in the rail industry.
Because they won’t get us anywhere.
They won’t create any more rail jobs and they won’t make our railways any safer, because all they do is distract us from what we should be doing – running the railways properly.
And. as the Potters Bar inquest has shown, it was exactly this lack of focus which causes accidents because if people have got their minds on something else they miss things. Or make mistakes. Or stop caring altogether.
And then where will we be…
