Obviously a very good scheme for the published needs, BUT great concern on the impact of connectivity out of/to Transpennine Express services for local travellers using Piccadilly, and without the proposed extra tracks between Castlefield Junction and Piccadilly being included in the plan, a reduction in purely local through services from East to West, to permit the increased TPE services along this already very congested stretch seems on the cards.

Good for TPE and longer distance but probably poor for local needs.
