I am afraid that whilst it is unfortunate that 400 rail jobs must go at London Underground, getting angry about them and going on strike isn’t going to do anybody any good.
The reason that so many jobs are going is because the public have voted with their feet – or rather with their Oyster cards.
Times have moved on and there just isn’t the money there to support jobs which can be cut – instead of fighting about it, everyone should come together to work out how to maintain high service levels.
However, I am not sure if it’s the passengers that strikers
are worried about.
