Ken Livingstone thinks he can win re-election in London on the back of commuter anger.
The fact that tube and bus fares are rising while the western congestion charge has been scrapped will help his case – but the London Labour mayoral candidate needs to do a lot more to show us what he would do for passengers, beyond opposing the current mayor. Considering the power the mayor wields over transport, some fresh thinking on the London Underground would be welcome.
