A report by Greengauge 21 makes interesting reading, as it appears to have answered one of the major criticisms of the proposed High Speed Rail network between London and the West Midlands, in that high speed travel doesn’t need to be expensive or exclusive.
This would mean that, whilst local people would have to suffer the hassle whilst the network is being built, they would at least be able to use it once completed.
Seems fair to me.
