Putting aside the political mess which the country is now facing, I would prefer to concentrate on the fact that this election has seen the highest voter turn out since 1992.
Even though the country is clearly very divided over who should lead us in the future, it is great to see that so many people have come out to vote.
As for my own experience, I was amazed to see the line of people snaking around the church where voting was taking place.
Even if I don’t agree politically with these people, at least they care enough to give up their time to stand in the cold and wait for their chance to have their say.
I just wish that this moment could take hold in our working environments.
Don’t wait for the politicians to take action. It’s up to us all to make wherever we work a success.
