Passenger satisfaction varies quite widely, according to latest figures, demonstrating the disparity between different train operating companies in the rail industry.
Overall, satisfaction hasn’t fallen, which is good news. However, it has not improved since last year, which suggests the industry needs to do much more if it is to see increases in passenger satisfaction.
Additionally, certain factors received a far worse score, such as the ever-contentious issue of value (or lack of) for money.
With prices raised this year, and set to increase even further in the following two years, TOCs must deliver services that are greatly improved.
Without adequate passenger satisfaction, the railways may be in danger of losing their most important asset: the people who use them for travel.
