I have been speaking recently with Gil Howarth, programme director of the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering about how to get more people into jobs in rail.
He has been spearheading a campaign to introduce more young people to railway engineering, which aims to increase the amount of youngster choosing engineering
as a career, along with providing meaningful employment to those who are finding it difficult to get work.
