The network seems to be coping well despite the adverse weather conditions in many parts of the country. According to official reports, as of 1pm today, 70% of trains were arriving at their destination on time.
Considering the difficult conditions prevailing particularly in the north, that’s not bad going and an indication that the industry realises that with many passengers facing fare increases in the new year, it needs to do its utmost to keep things moving.
