Although there has been a lot of concern recently about
how the rail industry will fare following the looming transport budget cuts, I feel that it is important to also consider all of
the great things which are happening within the industry.
Firstly there are the countless refurbishment and renewal projects which Network Rail is currently engaged in. There
is also the multi million Tyne and Wear metro system upgrade and the huge amount of refurbishment work taking place on the London Underground network.
Let us then not forget all of the work taking place around the proposed High Speed Rail network and of course the mighty Crossrail project. There is work out there and jobs in rail ready for the taking.
