‘Ultra light rail’ services in Hampshire being trialled from this month are worth keeping an eye on.
If the co-operative running the trial is successful at persuading London park-and-train commuters out of their cars, it could point a way forward for suburban and rural services usually considered unviable. Anything that gets
cars off the road and people onto trains has our support.
