Despite the amount of doom and gloom which is being propagated about the state of the rail industry, this is the time for those with jobs in rail to be concentrating on their roles more than ever.
Rail jobs are not easy to acquire so those who still have jobs in rail should be working harder than ever to keep those jobs.
I know that there are those who will tell you that making a stand is the right thing to do, but is it? Will this make your job any safer or your customers any more likely to use your services again?
Remember that rail fares are due to rise and this means that to be attractive to passengers, the railways will have to perform to a higher standard than ever before.
Squabbling isn’t going to help anyone, certainly not those with careers in rail.
