I am still trying to work out what it is that the unions are trying to achieve through their decision to try and take legal action over the decision not employ guards – as they rather archaically call them – on the Airdrie to Bathgate line (pictured).
I mean, there are already 130 rail jobs up for grabs. In the current economic climate is this not enough?
And surely the cost to the RMT (and therefore also Scotrail) of pursuing this legal action means that there will be less money to fight a real case. I think that Mr Crow needs to get his priorities right…
