I knew it wouldn’t last long. After doffing my cap to Bob
Crow in yesterday’s blog, the union dinosaur is up to his old tricks in Liverpool today where the RMT is holding a demonstration outside the National Rail Conference, where Transport Secretary Phillip Hammond is a keynote speaker.
Captain Bob clearly sees himself as a class warrior defending the workers against the greedy capitalists who
are determined to restore feudalism and impoverish anyone who hasn’t been to Eton and Oxbridge.
In Captain Bob’s version of history, it’s no doubt the greedy bankers who are to blame for the state of the economy and the cuts which the public sector is facing.
That the huge structural deficit which is the reason why we’re in it up to our necks was run up by the Labour government seems to have been written out of Bob Crow’s
history book.
