The Conservative Party seems to have lost its memory. Last year, National Express needed to be bailed out by the government at great cost to the taxpayer. The company welched on a deal and now, if the Conservatives win the election, they could be allowed back in the running.
These are challenging times and we must, of course, keep things in perspective. But it is the Conservative Party’s PR who I am really worried about. Who in their right mind thought that this announcement would be a vote winner?
