I was saddened to hear about another young life being lost
at one of our capital’s Underground facilities.
This childish fight, which perhaps years ago would have resulted in a just a few bruises and perhaps at worse a battered pride for the loser, has cost a family their son.
This kind of violence is not acceptable on our railways; not for passengers and not the staff who serve them so attentively.
Something must be done… and quickly.
However, given that budget cut backs will mean that there will be even less staff at our Underground stations, I doubt whether it will in time
