Despite assurances that British airspace would be
reopened, it seems that once again nature is depriving
Britain of air travel for even longer.
Whilst this is fantastic news for rail, it is vitally important that despite the increase in demand, rail services maintain their current high standards, so that people using rail services (some perhaps for the first time) see those rail services in their best light and will then be more likely to use rail in the future.
This is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity, so let’s make the
best of it, eh?
I was also amused to read about ASLEF’s ‘symbolic’ bid for the East Coast Mainline. Rail unions dictating rail services?
No change there then.
