The events of the last few days have shown that by engaging hard, tireless work we can achieve our goals.
The hard work of all of those involved with bringing about
the National Skills Academy for Rail Engineering has shown that it is not politicians or unions who make the biggest change in our world, but us the people.
That is why it is up to all of us to work hard in rail jobs to create a stronger, more resilient industry which is less dependant on Whitehall’s hand-outs.
Although we must not accept bad treatment by our employers, we must also accept that destroying the organisations which we work for is not in our interests either.
If you want to change things, then work harder and become the management, who can affect change; if you want freedom, then you have to work for it.
