As the first national rail strike in many years approaches there has been much talk about whether Bob Crow is in fact a Tory insider, secretly working to bring down the Labour government.

Given the way that the RMT, along with other unions, have threatened to cripple the country- whether that be with rail strikes, BA strikes and now even gas worker strikes -it is easy to see how some people could imagine that this was deliberate damage being done to Labour.

One thing is for sure… whoever wins the election will have to get control of the situation.
