No-one could accuse Dean Finch, the now ex-boss of Tube Lines of wanting an easy ride in life.
After having a very successful career at FirstGroup for at least a decade, he moved rail job to the slightly embattled Tube Lines and has now moved rail job again to the
extremely embattled National Express.
He said of his new rail job: “I am looking forward to strengthening all parts of the group, fostering a culture of operational excellence enabling us to deliver real
shareholder value.”
Dean is certainly facing a major challenge; he has to rebuild
a company which has just lost its main rail franchise and is due to be stripped of others in the coming years.
Let’s just hope he lasts longer there than he did at his previous employer.
