Network Rail’s announcement to pour £3.25 billion into modernising many of Britain’s railway station is fantastic news for rail jobs.
Not only does it mean that there will be more rail jobs, there will also be more materials bought, which is great for the rail industry and its suppliers, but also more tax going back into our recession burdened government’s coffers.
This in turn means that there will be more money eventually
to invest in our railways.
It is also great to see Network Rail taking into account the views of passengers, in regards to what work happens where; after all the passengers pay the industry’s wages!
