Network Rail have announced that they are now going to work towards a full removal of replacement buses on strategically important rail routes.
Good news for passengers?
Well maybe yes; as long that doesn’t mean that the
alternative train journeys which are made available to passengers take significantly longer than the ones which they are replacing; a concern which the Guardian newspaper reported as coming from ‘a train operator
source.’
However it is good to see Network Rail acknowledging that conditions must continue to improve for passengers, which means more passengers will use services, which means both more demand and revenue, which then leads to more
rail jobs being created.
And more rail jobs is always good news!
