With the election in full swing, all of the three main political parties have laid out their plans for the rail industry.
All of them have made promises, but we have no way of telling whether those promises are even possible to deliver on, given the unpredictable nature of world economics.
After all, would most people in 2006 have predicted a massive market crash little more than two years later… I doubt it.
All rail workers can do is to work hard for themselves and
for passengers to ensure high levels of service, whilst also making them indispensable within that organisation.
And no matter what Mr Crow tells you, the only way to secure better pay and conditions is to work harder… not publicly argue with management, whilst also alienating passengers.
