There seem to be a lot of parallels which could be drawn between today and the winter of 1978.
Once again we have a Labour government which seems to have run out of ideas and a Conservative Party poised to sweep Labour from power if given the chance by the
general public.
And then there are the union members grabbing at whatever pay settlement they can get, possibly not realising that they apparent show of force, much like the one exhibited in 1978-79, could lead to their own downfall.
Please, stop the madness and stop it now.
