Another row has broken out between the Transport for London and the RMT. The rail union has called a strike which meant that around 750 workers out of work. The argument itself only concerned just over 30 workers.
Now although this shows a certain camaraderie, the
workers seem to forget that they owe duty of service to
their paymasters… the public.
As the public pays their wages both through taxation and fares, they quite rightly expect workers to deliver services especially as the workers are from Metronet and received government backing the first time their company hit the rocks.
It is fair enough to take issue with working conditions, but please remember who going on strike really hurts - not the management, but the public.
And if the public stop using their services, the workers will out of a rail job for good.
