It is good to hear Network Rail come out saying that this year will buck the trend in regards to passenger chaos at Christmas.
I am sure that everyone at the company will be working
extra hard this year to ensure that the past remains firmly in the past, with teams working very hard to get the
engineering work done on time.
It is easy for the media to criticise Network Rail, but their rail job workers are carrying out an increasingly more difficult job, with less resources, due to funding cut backs. Like everything, Network Rail engineers are only human, just like the rest of us.
So next time something goes wrong, let’s take a moment to remember the last time we made a mistake.
