I am tired of talking about how damaging rail strikes are two rail jobs and to the railway itself as a whole, but I feel that it
is blight which could bring down the industry.
We live in a world driven by convenience and if people stop associating the railways with convenience, then less of
them will use the services.
If this happens, then jobs in rail will decline, along with demand, because all the current strikes are doing, whether they be against First Capital Connect, Network Rail or First Scotrail, is reinforce in people’s minds that rail is not a stable form of transportation because those who staff it are not reliable enough.
This is not an image the industry needs, so both managers and front line staff need to work together and stop the arguing.
