Yet again Virgin ticket office staff are unhappy with the introduction of ticket machines at stations.

So once again they plan to walk out of their rail jobs in order to make a protest.

A protest which will in turn lead to more and more people having to use ticket machines to enable them to travel, which will in turn familiarise those passengers with using ticket machines, which they then might use the next time they travel.

What these staff should be doing is staying in work and giving passengers such great service that they would not even dream of using a machine.

If something is a threat to you professionally you do not overcome it by walking away from your responsibilities; you only win by outperforming it.
