I would like to use today’s blog to thank a member of rail staff who provided me with the best service I have experienced for many years.

Whilst travelling on a Cross Country train between Manchester and Stafford, I was greeted by a very pleasant train manager who then went on to not only make all the passengers feel comfortable with his effortless charm and wit, but also gave me honest advice over which tickets would represent the best value for money.

Hi attitude towards both his rail job and his passengers was highly commendable and I wanted that good effort to be acknowledged.
