Yet again the RMT have shown how completely shameless they are in promoting their message by using a report on the Grayrigg disaster as part of their campaign against rail job cuts.
They have used the publication of the report into whether standards have improved since the accident as a way of drawing attention to maintenance rail job cuts.
Now I have no problem with the RMT campaigning to draw attention to the fact that the report says that standards have not improved and I have no problem with them campaigning to save rail jobs, but do it separately.
But capitalising on an incident where someone died for your own political benefit is simply not on.
