Is this what customer care on the railways has come to? Telling a disabled woman to take train all the way to the next station just so she can cross to the other side of the station?
Is this the image of rail travel in the 21 st century which you want to project?
For the sake of your rail job and the jobs in rail of thousands of others, I hope not.
All stories like this do is tarnish an industry which is currently being ravaged by strikes and given that Bill Emery, chief executive of the Office of Rail Regulation has recently warned that tax payer subsidy to the rail industry is ‘at risk’, please do not assume that people will continue to put up with shoddy customer service.
They will simply get in a car and then we will all be out of a job.
